The other similar activities were; discouraging and denouncing the old and virtually traditional FGM practice in the area and to revive the old traditional rules of war in order to spare or immunize the following vulnerable social groups. Women and children, the aged and non-combatants, religious societies, in-laws, visitors and prisoners of war etc.

To advocate and translate the neglected and virtually chronic social and environmental problems in our indigenous regions i.e. lower and middle juba regions which has not only received equal humanitarian attention like the rest local regions in Somalia but among which the International peace loving community knows little or may be nothing about our deep-rooted social problems in the area.

2.2 Local/International partners: Among our potential partners are:-

a) Care International b) Horn Relief c) WFP d) Life and Peace e) FSAU f) WASDA. These are among our few international potential partners

All below pictures are shown some of our activities, since our main concern is women empowerments in all level; we open more schools which they learn different skills from early 2008 to December 30, 2009. These projects were funded by horn-relief and implemented by Somali women solidarity organization (SWSO) we are also doing seminars and workshops which most funded by life&peace (LPI). Awareness Hiv/adis, FGM, sanitation and water are also our concern.

Although our capacity is very limited and community are in need for a help after all inter-national NGO’s had left because of insecurity and many families are still fleeing to a Kenya refuge camps because of wide-spread hunger and lack of assistance from any where, we decided to continue our humanitarian activities to our vulnerable people especially women.

No one ever guess how these people live, interms of Health, education, water, security and food inflation, no hope of good future, they also live in a fear situation. Therefore, we really need your assistance, the last inter-national agency which left was WFP; this also made living condition more badly.

We can’t cope here how these people are starving and how much assistance do they need

So please do all you can, one finger can’t wash your face.

We are looking forward to see your positive and urgent respond. Thank you .
